Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority operates three light rail lines covering most of Santa Clara County’s major cities, with a central focus on San Jose. The three lines, namely Alum Rock-Santa Teresa, Mountain View-Winchester, and Ohlone/Chynoweth-Almaden, provide frequent services on weekdays, and during peak periods, the Alum Rock-Santa Teresa line operates a Commuter Express service that operates from South San Jose in the morning and from Tasman Road in the afternoon, bypassing stops between Civic Center and Ohlone/Chynoweth Stations.
