In many instances, I have heard a distinct title as “Twin Cities”, and I have wondered what it actually means or how it is actually best described. Probably not because the cities are next to each other that twin cities exist in Molowaku (in definition, twin cities are a special case of two cities or urban centers which are founded in close geographic proximity and then grow into each other over time); it is that Fulton and Floriston have been coordinating together in harmony, as suburbs of Leicester, to create a new capital south of the so-called “Twin Cities” to lessen the burden of Leicester. Although Metropolitan Leicester will remain the key government and economic nerve of Molowaku, a new city south of the Twin Cities will become the new government capital of Molowaku while retaining Leicester as the economic and social capital. The Twin Cities’ main role is to act as a key component to the growth of the Oahu Region and Molowaku by providing special government, economic, and social centers for the region’s (and eventually the country’s) growth into a full-fledged developed nation.
Fulton is now temporarily one of two “Government Capitals” of Molowaku (the other being Leicester) wherein many of the nation’s important agencies are located, including the Department of Agriculture and Department of Internal Affairs (at the Princeton Business Park). It also has the satellite office of the Supreme Court of Molowaku wherein it has the same exercising rights as the Molowaku Supreme Court in north Leicester (it, too, will move soon to the new “capital”). Being close to Leicester, Fulton enjoys excellent commercial and transportation ties with its western neighbor, and the capital’s growth has helped this town to vitalize itself as an alternative to the “Big City” life.
Floriston, just north of Fulton, can bill itself as the “Town of Orchids” due to the town’s growing orchid industry. Although commercialized in nature, Floriston still prides itself in working with orchids, cultivated from nearby Broward, and it is being made into various art forms for the garden and home. The town also holds a key role as the Twin Cities’ social hub, as clubs and shops open way late into the wee hours of the morning, and being a suburb of Leicester, it has attracted a lot of students hanging out from colleges and universities close by. The town also has the nation’s first ferry terminal, at the east end of the Floriston Canal, and it also holds the nation’s longest continuous road bridge, the Floriston Bridge.
Below are pictures from the Twin Cities. Enjoy!
